Application criteria

China visa

As a candidate, you will go through a two- or three-step interview process. First, we will contact you to schedule an initial interview. After the initial interview, we compile an applicant profile to present to schools with positions that match your qualifications.

If you are a certified teacher applying for a subject teaching position, you will have another interview with a dean in our academic department. This interview will focus on your academic ability and area knowledge, so we can recommend you as a person, teacher, and expert in your field. Only applicants for subject or AP teaching positions will be asked to participate in a third interview.

If you are an aspiring English as a second language (ESL) teacher short on the teaching experience that would put you on the map for employers, becoming TEFL certified is a great option.

Interview and beyond

During the interview process we will ask for documents, including your passport, college degrees, and teaching certificates. These are necessary for obtaining a Z visa to work in China. We will also ask for professional references and conduct a background check.

After we present your applicant profile to schools, we will contact you with offers you have received. We make sure the schools compensation, benefits, and contract stipulations are fair, and help communicate your needs to schools interested in hiring you. Some schools require a face-to-face meeting over skype, which a representative from GoGlobal Jobs will help facilitate.

Once you have signed the contract, we are still here for you before and after your arrival in China. We are always available if you have any questions while you are living and working abroad.
