
Notice: As of April 1, 2017, Chinese authorities have implemented a new Foreigner’s Work Permit system. All foreigners applying for legal working and residency status in China after April 1st, 2017 will be required to go through the new visa system.

Process for NEW teachers –
Before entering China:
Step 1 | Apply for Employment License (15 working days) [we will apply for the Employment License on your behalf]
Step 2 | Apply for Z visa (length of time depends on the local Chinese embassy or consulate)
After entering China:
Step 3 | Register your arrival in the local police station (register within 24 hours)
Step 4 | Physical health check (completed in your placement city)
Step 5 | Apply for Foreigner’s Work Permit
Step 6 | Apply for Residence Permit (multiple entry)
Process for returning teachers –
Step 1 | Contract renewal
Step 2 | Apply for Foreigner’s Work Permit
Step 3 | Renew your Residence Permit (multiple entry)
